To establish oneself into a niche requires a grounding that doesn't conform to the sway of society but leans on the power of resilience. When I consider my work and the spaces of influence I believe I can impact, I consider the voices of youth, and young adults. In today's society, we are persuaded to adjust to the status quo, but surrendering to this facade limits the ability for us to see past our direct line of sight to recognise the suffering and turmoil that neocolonialism exerts the people of the global South. Through my writings and the narratives I chose to highlight, my hope is that though the thread of words lies possibility rather than apathy, and the resilience of the voices centred.Â
